What they need
This is a cellular, satellite, and carrier-program role, not an enterprise LAN role. You will own a growing fleet of Cradlepoint and Peplink routers, Starlink terminals, and AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon SIMs and circuits that keep EV chargers, unattended kiosks, and first-responder sites online. If you have configured a Cradlepoint through NetCloud, built a SpeedFusion bonded tunnel on a Peplink, or managed a multi-carrier SIM pool through a carrier portal, you are exactly who we are looking for.
If your background is Cisco switching and routing, campus Wi-Fi, or structured cabling and you have not worked hands-on with these specific platforms, this is not the right fit, and we say that up front out of respect for your time.
About Paygasus
Paygasus is a payments and connectivity platform founded in 2012 and headquartered in Salt Lake City. We have processed more than $100 billion across 3,400+ locations in 30 countries, and we are PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 2 certified. Our customers run EV charging networks, parking and transit systems, vending, car washes, healthcare, and government sites.
Every one of those sites needs a reliable data connection before it can take a payment. That is the business you will run. Paygasus is an authorized solution provider for Peplink and Starlink, deploys Cradlepoint across unattended and mobile sites, and holds carrier partnerships with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon covering IoT SIMs, business wireless, and AT&T wireline and fiber. You will take this connectivity practice from a supporting function to a standalone line of business serving EV chargers, unattended retail, and first responders.
What you’ll do
Cradlepoint (Ericsson Enterprise Wireless)
- Design, stage, and deploy Cradlepoint wireless and wireline routers for unattended, fixed, and in-vehicle sites
- Administer the fleet in NetCloud Manager: groups, configuration templates, firmware rollouts, alerts, and SIM/APN management
- Build and troubleshoot dual-SIM, failover, and WAN-affinity configurations
Peplink
- Spec and deploy Peplink routers and antennas for cellular, Starlink, and bonded WAN scenarios
- Manage devices through InControl 2, including configuration, firmware, and remote diagnostics
- Design and support SpeedFusion bonding, hot failover, and Peplink + Starlink combinations
Starlink
- Provision and manage Starlink Business and Mobility service plans, terminals, and accounts for customer sites
- Integrate Starlink as a primary or backup WAN behind Peplink and Cradlepoint routers
- Troubleshoot obstruction, power, mounting, and throughput issues with field installers
Carrier programs (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon)
- Own the day-to-day of our carrier relationships: SIM ordering, activation, rate plan assignment, pooling, suspensions, and billing reconciliation
- Work inside the carrier IoT and business portals to manage SIM lifecycles and usage
- Quote and order AT&T wireline, fiber, and business wireless circuits for customer sites
- Track data usage and overage exposure across the fleet and recommend plan changes
Solutioning and sales support
- Join sales calls as the connectivity expert, scope the right router, antenna, carrier, and plan for each site, and write the bill of materials
- Build repeatable deployment kits for EV charging, unattended retail, and first-responder use cases
- Document standard configurations, runbooks, and support escalation paths
Operations
- Monitor fleet health, respond to outages, and coordinate RMAs with vendors
- Maintain device, SIM, and circuit inventory and keep it tied to customer and site records
- Manage our vendor partner portals, certifications, and program requirements with Ericsson/Cradlepoint, Peplink, Starlink, and each carrier
What we require
You must have hands-on experience with at least three of the four platform areas below, and real exposure to the fourth. Please address each one specifically in your resume or cover letter. Generic networking experience will not be considered a substitute.
Cradlepoint / Ericsson Enterprise Wireless
- 2+ years deploying and managing Cradlepoint routers (for example E-series, R-series, W-series, or IBR/AER lines) in production
- Working fluency in NetCloud Manager: groups, config templates, NCOS firmware, alerts, and SIM/modem management
- Experience with dual-modem or dual-SIM failover and WAN affinity rules
Peplink
- Hands-on deployment of Peplink Balance, MAX, or BR-series routers with cellular WAN
- Experience managing fleets in InControl 2
- Configured SpeedFusion bonding or hot failover in a live deployment
Starlink
- Provisioned and supported Starlink Business or Mobility accounts and terminals for a business or customer base
- Integrated Starlink as a WAN behind a third-party router
Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon
- Managed IoT or business SIM pools through a carrier or partner portal, including activation, rate plans, pooling, and suspension
- Worked with carrier account teams or channel programs on quoting, ordering, and escalations
- Ordered or managed at least one wireline or fiber circuit (AT&T Fiber, dedicated internet, or similar)
General
- Solid understanding of LTE and 5G fundamentals: bands, signal metrics (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR), antenna selection, and APNs
- Comfortable writing a bill of materials, a configuration standard, and a customer-facing deployment summary
- Able to support field installers remotely and travel occasionally to customer sites
Certifications and programs that move you to the top of the list
None of these are required, but any one of them tells us you have done this work for real. Please list them with the year earned.
- Cradlepoint Mountaineer Program participation or Pioneer status, the technical training and certification track for partners, now part of the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Partner Program. This is our ideal profile.
- Cradlepoint Certified Network Associate (CPCNA) or Cradlepoint Certified Network Professional (CPCNP), or the current Ericsson Enterprise Wireless equivalents
- Peplink Certified Engineer (PCE), or Peplink Certified Associate (PCA) / Peplink Certified Sales Specialist (PCSS)
- Experience operating under a Starlink Authorized Reseller or solution provider program
- Public-safety connectivity experience with AT&T FirstNet, Verizon Frontline, or T-Mobile T-Priority programs
- Carrier channel or partner-program experience (AT&T Partner Exchange / ACC Business, Verizon Partner Network, T-Mobile for Business dealer or CSP programs)
- Prior work connecting EV chargers (OCPP), unattended payment terminals, kiosks, or vending
- CompTIA Network+ or similar is welcome but is not a substitute for the vendor experience above
Who this role is not for
We have received many strong applications from people whose experience is adjacent but not what this role needs. To save everyone time, this is likely not a match if your background is primarily:
- Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or Fortinet enterprise LAN, switching, routing, or campus Wi-Fi without cellular WAN or carrier program work
- Field service or installation technician work (cabling, mounting, break/fix) without router configuration and fleet management responsibility
- Carrier-side RF engineering or tower work
- Data center, cloud, or security engineering
If you have led Cradlepoint or Peplink deployments inside one of those roles, say so clearly and we will read your application closely.
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision; 401(k); PTO; vendor training and certification costs covered.
Location: Salt Lake City, UT. [On-site / remote.] Occasional travel to customer sites.
To apply: Send your resume and a short note that answers three questions:
Which Cradlepoint and Peplink models have you deployed, and roughly how many devices have you managed in NetCloud or InControl 2?
Describe one Starlink or bonded-WAN deployment you built and what problem it solved.
Which carrier portals and programs have you worked in directly?
Applications that do not address these questions will not be prioritized.
Pay: $92,100.00 - $111,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k) matching
- Dental insurance
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
