Wireless Network Engineer

Role: Wireless Network Engineer – Fabric Build

Location: West Coast (Los Angeles preferred)

Duration: 3+ Months

Overview: We are seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise wireless infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with HPE Aruba Networking, Aruba Central, WLAN technologies, RF design, and wireless site surveys, along with knowledge of campus networking and network access control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot Aruba wireless networking solutions.
• Deploy and support Aruba access points, gateways/controllers, and Aruba Central.
• Configure and troubleshoot Aruba CX switches and campus networks.
• Support wireless design, RF analysis, site surveys, access point placement, and wireless optimization.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, VLANs, Layer 2/Layer 3, and wireless connectivity issues.
• Coordinate with customers and project stakeholders during implementation and troubleshooting.
• Assist with network assessments, technical documentation, and project delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3+ years of experience with enterprise wireless networking technologies.
• Knowledge of HPE Aruba Networking, Aruba Central, Aruba WLAN (AOS 8/AOS 10), Aruba CX Switching (AOS-CX), and Aruba ClearPass.
• Understanding of campus networking, enterprise routing and switching, and RF design/wireless optimization.
• Familiarity with Ekahau or other wireless site survey tools.
• Knowledge of network access control and 802.1X.
• 2–3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience, preferably supporting enterprise systems integration projects.
• Experience coordinating project delivery activities and working with client stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience deploying Aruba access points, gateways/controllers, and Aruba Central.
• Experience with wireless site surveys, RF analysis, access point placement, and optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• HPE Aruba Networking Certified Associate – Campus Access.
• HPE Aruba Networking Certified Associate – Switching.
• ACMA/ACMP.
• CWNA/CWNP.
