About the role

Our company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wireman to join our electrical engineering team on a full-time basis in Juru Bukit Mertajam, Penang. This role is fundamental to our operations, as wiremen are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring systems that power our projects and keep our clients' facilities running safely and efficiently. As a Wireman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications, directly contributing to the quality and reliability of our service delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Installing electrical wiring, conduits, and related equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial installations
• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation
• Testing electrical systems and circuits using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and ensure proper functionality
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing electrical systems and wiring installations
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Collaborating with senior electricians, engineers, and other team members to complete projects on schedule and within specifications
• Troubleshooting electrical problems and identifying solutions to resolve issues efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each task
• Ensuring work sites are kept clean, organised, and safe throughout the project duration
• Assisting with the procurement and inventory management of electrical materials and equipment

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in electrical installation or wirework, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised certification
• Proven experience working as a Wireman or in a similar electrical installation role, ideally with 2–5 years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, and electrical safety standards applicable in Malaysia
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Competency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, cable testers, and continuity testers
• Excellent practical manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision in confined or challenging spaces
• A valid driving licence and reliable transportation to travel between job sites
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
• The ability to work safely at heights and in various environmental conditions when required
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with health and safety protocols and a proactive approach to workplace safety
• Physical fitness and the stamina to perform manual work throughout the working day
