About the role

This role involves assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining all electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and appliances in the plant. You will troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications, and read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. You will assist in planning, organizing and implementing a comprehensive program including both corrective and preventive activities to ensure smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical installations.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain all electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, and appliances in the plant
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus
• Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications
• Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
• Assist to plan, organize and implement a comprehensive program to ensure smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical installation
• Liaise with relevant Authorities and vendors to ensure compliance with applicable laws including OSHA / EIA Act, DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Jabatan Bomba and other regulatory governing bodies
• Develop and maintain records and reports such as equipment and supplies inventories, damage reports, preventive maintenance and repair records
• Ensure that the quality and environmental management system conforms to the requirement of ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015
• Follow all safety procedures & regulations and ensure safe work environment
• Implement and participate actively in 5S activities for the Department & Organization

About you

• Certificate in Wiring or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of hands-on working experience as electrical technician or wiring
• Able to work independently and as a team player
• Good problem solving, planning & organizing, interpersonal, communication and training skills
• Able to read electrical diagram
