About the role

UDA Facility Management is seeking a skilled Wireman PW3 to join our engineering team in Cyberjaya, Selangor. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in maintaining and installing electrical systems across our facility management operations. As a Wireman PW3, you will be responsible for executing electrical installation and maintenance work to the highest standards, ensuring the safety and reliability of electrical infrastructure for our clients. This position requires someone with substantial experience in electrical and electronic engineering who can work independently whilst adhering to all safety regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring, conduits, cables and associated fixtures throughout facilities
• Interpreting and following electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to ensure accurate installation
• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Testing electrical systems, circuits and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools to identify faults and defects
• Troubleshooting electrical problems and performing corrective repairs in a timely manner
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical safety codes, regulations and industry best practices
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and maintenance schedules
• Liaising with facility management teams and other contractors to coordinate electrical work activities
• Responding promptly to emergency electrical repairs and service calls

What we're looking for

• Valid PW3 wireman qualification or equivalent electrical certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a wireman or in electrical installation and maintenance roles
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices and safety protocols
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Competency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Sound understanding of relevant electrical codes, regulations and safety standards applicable in Malaysia
• Ability to work independently and efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with facility management teams
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
• Preferably experience in facility management or commercial building electrical systems
