Wireman Supervisor (PW4)

About the role

Carry out safe, compliant and customer-focused installation, inspection, testing (where authorised), commissioning support, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), primarily AC home chargers and approved commercial charging installations. The role supports Bateriku.com's Electrical Unit in delivering reliable field service, accurate technical documentation, timely job completion and high workmanship standards. All regulated electrical activities must be undertaken within the holder's Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) competency scope and the applicable electrical contractor authorisations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect site access, charger location, routing, electrical distribution board, existing wiring, protection, isolation and earthing arrangements
• Collect and document utility-approved supply information, supply phase, household/facility maximum demand and foreseeable simultaneous electrical loads
• Install AC EV chargers, wiring, cable containment, isolators and electrical protection components using approved designs, materials and safe working methods
• Conduct or assist with continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, earthing and protective-device verification as permitted by the applicable competency scope
• Support EVSE configuration, functional checks, test documentation and customer handover
• Perform scheduled EV charger preventive maintenance, visual inspection, functional checks and condition monitoring
• Diagnose charging interruptions, electrical trips, damaged cables, overheating, connection issues and other system faults
• Replace or repair permitted defective components following OEM guidance, safe isolation and approved method statements
• Complete job orders, inspection forms, commissioning checklists, testing records, material usage and photographic proof in the approved company system
• Apply risk assessments, electrical isolation/lockout-tagout, appropriate PPE and safe access procedures

About you

• Valid ST Wireman PW4 competency certification; supporting documents must be verifiable
• Practical experience in low-voltage electrical wiring, distribution boards, protective devices and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read electrical schematics, follow approved technical instructions and operate relevant testing equipment safely
• Awareness of electrical safety, isolation procedures, site hazards and basic inspection / technical documentation
• Valid driving licence suitable for site travel, willingness to work at customer premises and ability to perform field duties safely
• Effective communication in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English communication and digital job reporting are advantageous
• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 1–3 years' relevant installation, maintenance or field service experience; EVSE experience is an advantage
• Familiarity with AC EV chargers (e.g., 7 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW where applicable), OEM manuals, load management and basic charger connectivity
