Wiremen/Electrical Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for carrying out wiring, assembly and installation of switchboards and control panels according to technical drawings, wiring diagrams and industry standards. Ensure all work meets the Company's safety, quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly and Wiring

• Assemble electrical switchboards, distribution boards, and control panels as per design specifications.
• Perform wiring and termination of electrical components such as circuit breakers, busbars, relays, meters, and control devices.
• Route and secure wiring neatly to meet company standards.

Reading Technical Drawings

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings accurately.
• Ensure all work follows engineering documentation and project requirements.

Material and Tool Management

• Request required parts, components, and consumables from the store.
• Maintain tools, instruments, and equipment in good working condition.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow electrical safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Comply with relevant electrical standards, such as IEC and local regulations.

Collaboration and Reporting

• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to meet project timelines.
• Report progress, issues, and completion status to the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate/SKM/DVM/Polytecnic/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Candidate with Wireman Cert G1/G2 is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• 1–3 years’ experience in electrical assembly, preferably in switchboard or panel manufacturing is an advantage
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical components and standards.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

• Work is carried out in a fully covered factory building with no exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines with OT meal are provided.
• May require occasional site visits for installation or commissioning.

Pay: RM2,030.00 per month
