WMS Assistant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a driven and experienced WMS Assistant Manager to join our team in KKIP , Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing and optimising our warehouse management system, ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse management system, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently
2. Collaborate with the IT team to implement system updates and enhancements, improving productivity and accuracy
3. Train and support warehouse staff on the use of the WMS, ensuring they are proficient in its utilisation
4. Analyse system data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, and implement optimisation strategies
5. Liaise with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, adapting the WMS accordingly
6. Manage and supervise a team of WMS operators, providing guidance, mentorship and performance feedback
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry best practices

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse management system (WMS) role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
2. Strong technical skills and understanding of warehouse management systems and their integration with other business systems
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
4. Proven track record of leading and motivating a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills
5. Degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
6. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with experience in interpreting warehouse metrics
7. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
