JOB TITLE WMS Lead

JOB LOCATION Lagos Nigeria / Site

REPORTING TO Digitalization Head (HOD)

BUSINESS UNIT / SBU Center of Excellence

DEPARTMENT Digitalization

SUB VERTICAL SAP - Digitalization

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

1. System Management & Support

1.1. Good understanding of Warehouse Operations (like Gate entry, Docking, Goods receipts, BIN allocation, Put away, Issue, Picking etc)

1.2. Good understanding of various WMS tools.

1.3. Analyse business requirements and recommend system solutions.

1.4. Ensure WMS processes align with organizational policies and best practices.

1.5. Implemented 4 -5 E2E WMS

2. Stakeholder Collaboration

2.1. Coordinate with stakeholder to understand the current process and requirement.

2.2. Act as the primary point of contact for all WMS-related issues and enhancements.

3. Enhancements & Continuous Improvement

3.1. Gather enhancement requirements from warehouse and business users.

3.2. Participate in process optimization initiatives.

3.3. Recommend automation opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency.

3.4. Support implementation of new warehouse capabilities and technologies.

4. Project & Change Managementt

4.1. Participate in WMS Implementation and enhancement projects.

4.2. Coordinate with Partner for Implementation, testing activities including SIT and UAT.

4.3. Support deployment and change management activities.

4.4. Assist in developing training materials and conducting user training sessions.

5. Team Leadership

5.1. Lead or mentor WMS analysts or support staff.

5.2. Coordinate issue resolution and prioritize tasks.

5.3. Ensure adherence to best practices and SOPs.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

• Experience supporting multi-site warehouses.
• Knowledge of spare parts, maintenance, and material management processes.
• Experience integrating WMS with SAP S/4HANA MM, SD, PP, PM, and TM modules.
• Exposure to warehouse automation technologies, RFID, handheld devices, and robotics solutions.
• Communication Skills, Presentation Skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Knowledge of ERP integration (SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, etc)

• Understanding of APIs, EDI, IDocs, RF devices, barcode scanning, and label printing.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 16+ years with application ownership, vendor management, and solution governance responsibilities.
