WMS Technical Specialist

Own the warehouse management system for KSP's multi-client 3PL operation. You'll configure the system, onboard clients, stand up integrations, and be the go-to support contact for operations and customer experience. You'll work side by side with fulfillment so the warehouse runs the way the WMS is set up, and the WMS is set up the way the warehouse actually works. Experience with our specific platform is not required. We'll train you alongside our WMS vendor's team.

What you'll do

• Administer and improve the WMS: client setups, workflows, locations, users, permissions, and operational rules
• Turn receiving, putaway, picking, packing, kitting, shipping, and returns into clean WMS configuration
• Own WMS data quality: inventory, orders, SKUs, lots/serials, locations, and exceptions
• Lead or support technical client onboarding and new integrations (APIs, SFTP/FTP, EDI, webhooks, flat files)
• Run end-to-end testing and UAT on order, inventory, and shipment flows and on new system functionality before go-live
• Be the first stop for operations and customer experience when the WMS is the issue, or looks like it:
• Work requests through the internal help desk ticketing system
• Troubleshoot receiving, allocation, pick/pack/ship, inventory variances, returns, and kitting
• Document the steps taken, then solve or escalate
• Flag urgent issues quickly, and open and track support tickets with the WMS vendor and other third parties
• Work the floor and the system with supervisors and leads so teams use the WMS correctly instead of working around it
• Support cycle counts, adjustments, exceptions, and user training
• Partner with operations to find bottlenecks, fix broken configs, and improve speed, accuracy, and labor
• Keep SOPs, configuration records, and documentation current, and protect multi-client separation, access, and change control

Required

• WMS experience in a warehouse, 3PL, fulfillment, or distribution environment, or 2+ years in help desk or systems support
• Working knowledge of inbound, outbound, inventory, and multi-client 3PL processes
• Practitioner-level comfort with APIs, SFTP/FTP, and EDI
• Can trace an order or inventory record through the system and find where it broke
• Clear communicator with warehouse teams, account managers, clients, and vendors, including strong written and instructional documentation
• Calm, organized, and detail-oriented when operations needs an answer now
• Willing to become our in-house WMS expert; we'll train you
• On-site at our Brooklyn Park, MN facility

Preferred

• WMS administrator or super-user experience
• Experience with a 3PL WMS (Extensiv/3PL Central, ShipHero, Deposco, Softeon, Shipedge, Manhattan, or similar)
• Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, NetSuite, Cart Rover, or other commerce/ERP integrations
• EDI providers (SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar)
• SQL, Excel, JSON, and intermediate Microsoft 365
• Kitting, subscription, lot/serial, or regulated-product fulfillment
• Client-facing 3PL onboarding
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent help desk or support experience
