Wok Chef

Tronc estimate included in hourly rate.

Duties:

• Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant's menu and recipes
• Oversee and manage the kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance
• Ensure food quality and presentation meets the restaurant's standards
• Plan and develop new menu items, taking into consideration customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
• Order and maintain inventory of food supplies and ingredients
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Collaborate with management to create and update menus, as well as establish pricing for dishes
• Train new kitchen staff members on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen equipment operation

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role in a restaurant setting
• In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification is a plus
