WOK Cook

Job Summary

Prepare and cook Chinese dishes using wok techniques while ensuring food quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.

Location: Glorietta, Makati City

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using traditional wok cooking techniques
• Ensure food is prepared according to company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Prepare ingredients and organize workstations before service
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper portioning
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the wok station and kitchen area
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times
• Assist in inventory monitoring and stock control
• Guide and support junior kitchen staff when needed
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation during service
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by management

Qualifications

• At least high school graduate or vocational graduate
• At least 2 years of experience as a Wok Cook in a Chinese restaurant or in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of Chinese cuisine and traditional wok cooking techniques
• Skilled in using commercial wok ranges and preparing dishes in a fast-paced kitchen
• Knowledgeable in food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of quality and consistency
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
