Woodworking Technician

Job Summary

Architectural Millwork Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworking Technician to support the production of custom wood components, architectural millwork, and related products. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills, attention to precision, and the ability to operate tools and equipment safely while meeting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood and millwork components.
• Operate woodworking tools and machinery such as saws, routers, sanders, drills, and other shop equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, measurements, specifications, and production instructions.
• Set up tools and equipment and make adjustments as needed for accurate production.
• Inspect completed components for proper dimensions, fit, finish, and overall quality.
• Assist with assembling cabinets, panels, trim, fixtures, and custom architectural millwork.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Safely handle, move, and store lumber, materials, and finished components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe woodworking environment.
• Follow company quality standards and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous woodworking, millwork, carpentry, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with woodworking tools, machinery, and materials.
• Ability to read measurements, drawings, and basic technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle woodworking materials.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
