Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to maintain, enhance, and optimize our WordPress website. The role involves front-end and back-end development, theme and plugin customization, performance optimization, security, integrations, and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain the WordPress website
• Design and implement new website features and functionality
• Customize WordPress themes, child themes, and plugins
• Build responsive web pages from UI designs and wireframes
• Manage WordPress core, themes, and plugins while ensuring compatibility and stability
• Monitor and optimize website performance, security, and availability
• Troubleshoot website, PHP, plugin, and technical issues
• Manage API integrations with third-party systems
• Implement technical SEO requirements, including redirects, sitemaps, and schema markup
• Manage hosting for the WordPress website, including GoDaddy, backups, server configurations, website migrations, and staging and production deployments
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility
• Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams on website requirements

Education and Background

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
• Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, child themes, plugins, and customization
• Working knowledge of jQuery, MySQL, and WordPress database structure
• Experience with page builders such as Divi or Elementor
• Knowledge of REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Understanding of responsive web development and UI/UX principles
• Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, website performance optimization, caching, security, technical SEO, and web accessibility best practices
• Familiarity with website hosting environments and deployment processes
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and marketing technology integrations is an advantage
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
