WordPress Developer

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. You must have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things web and a desire to create outstanding user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Implement site designs, themes, and custom features based on specifications.
• Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create visually appealing and functional websites.
• Conduct website performance tests and implement improvements.
• Optimize website components for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and the web development industry.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
• Proficient in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and database management.
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that websites will adhere to them.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of other CMS platforms and web frameworks.
• Familiarity with web hosting environments and management.
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Strong portfolio of work showcasing successful projects.
