WordPress Developer (Remote) — Elementor & Gutenberg

About the role

We're hiring a WordPress Developer to join a Swedish web and media company on a fully remote basis. This is a hands-on production role focused on building and editing web pages using WordPress — primarily with Elementor and Gutenberg. Most of your work comes through a ticketing system, so you'll enjoy focused, independent work with clear written briefs rather than constant meetings. It's a great fit for a detail-oriented developer who communicates clearly in writing and takes pride in clean, well-executed pages.

Key responsibilities

• Build new pages and edit existing ones in WordPress using Elementor and Gutenberg (mostly editing)
• Implement layouts and content updates accurately based on written briefs
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines, templates, and design systems
• Work through tasks in a ticketing system, keeping statuses and notes up to date
• Troubleshoot layout, styling, and content issues
• Communicate progress, questions, and blockers clearly in writing

About you

• 2–3 years of hands-on WordPress experience (junior candidates welcome)
• Strong practical skills with Elementor and Gutenberg
• Solid understanding of page building, responsive layouts, and basic HTML/CSS
• Excellent written English communication — clear, professional, and responsive
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, ticket-driven environment
• Good attention to detail and a reliable, self-managed work style
• Basic knowledge of WordPress plugins, theme settings, and media optimisation
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Zendesk, ClickUp)
• Some experience working with international or European clients
