Wordpress LMS Developer

Skillworks is looking for a skilled WordPress developer to build and manage our Learning Management System (LMS). If you have hands-on experience setting up LMS platforms on WordPress and understand how to create smooth learning experiences for students, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining our WordPress-based LMS, ensuring students and instructors have a seamless platform for courses, assessments, and progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and configure a WordPress LMS (e.g., LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS, or similar)
• Customize course structures, quizzes, certificates, and student dashboards
• Integrate payment gateways, user registration, and access control systems
• Ensure the platform is mobile-responsive and optimized for performance
• Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts, and technical issues
• Implement necessary plugins and third-party integrations (email automation, CRM, analytics, etc.)
• Maintain website security, backups, and regular updates
• Collaborate with the content and academic teams to structure courses effectively
• Provide documentation and basic training on how to manage the LMS

Requirements

• Proven experience building and managing WordPress-based LMS platforms
• Strong knowledge of LMS plugins (LearnDash, Tutor LMS, LifterLMS, or similar)
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript for customizations
• Experience with WooCommerce or other payment integration tools
• Understanding of UX principles for online learning environments
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-technical teams
• Portfolio of previous LMS or WordPress projects (required)
