This is a varied, student-focused role where you will combine coaching, employer engagement, administration and compliance to ensure students achieve successful placement outcomes.

Key responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver employability sessions covering areas such as CVs, professional communication and workplace skills.
  • Support students throughout their placement, monitoring progress, hours and engagement.
  • Lead skills assessments and help students recognise the skills they are developing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Grofar, ensuring information is complete and audit-ready.
  • Work with employers to gather feedback and use this to support student development.
  • Identify and appropriately escalate any safeguarding, wellbeing, health or safety concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and the wider Work Experience team to ensure a smooth placement journey.

About you

You will be an organised, proactive and approachable individual with experience of working in a student-facing, coaching, education, training or employability environment.

You will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification or above, alongside Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Strong IT and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire young people aged 16–19.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and work effectively across multiple sites.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Experience of using Grofar, CRM systems or similar student management systems would be desirable, as would experience of working within an education or work experience environment.

Why work for IEG?
