Duties

Are you passionate about technology, data, and process improvement? Join our team as a Workday Technical Specialist and play a key role in the evolution of our HR systems and services.In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. Working closely with HR professionals, business partners, and stakeholders, you will analyze business needs, design innovative solutions, and implement system enhancements that improve efficiency, automation, data quality, and user experience.You will leverage your expertise in Workday reporting and analytics to develop dashboards, reports, and data solutions that support informed decision-making. You will also contribute to system upgrades, testing, change management initiatives, and modernization projects while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and solution-oriented professional who enjoys solving complex problems, driving continuous improvement, and using technology to transform how HR services are delivered.

Work environment

The selected candidate will physically work in one of our 4 FINTRAC locations: Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa or Montreal. Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate position with a BBB/BBB linguistic profile or English Essential.As the position is located in Ottawa, preference will be given to candidates who can physically work at our headquarters located in downtown Ottawa (234 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, Ontario). If no candidate is found, we will consider candidates who can physically work in one of our regional offices located in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto.Qualified candidates will be considered for future vacancies (indeterminate and term), with various language requirements, as they arise.

ED- Successful completion of a secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

E1- Experience* in administering Workday HCM, including configuration, security, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and solution delivery.

E2- Experience* in analyzing business requirements and improving processes through system enhancements and technology solutions that increase efficiency, automation, data quality, and user experience.

E3-Experience* in providing functional or technical advice and support services on HR management System and/or HR operational administrative systems, processes, procedures and/or requirements related to various human resources transactions.

E4- Experience* in analyzing and resolving complex issues within an HR management system.

• Experience is defined as comprehensive (covering a wide range of responsibilities), deep (showing thorough involvement) and complex (involving challenging tasks), normally associated with having performed such duties for a minimum of three (3) years.

K1- Knowledge of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) functionality, business processes, reporting capabilities, security concepts, and HR systems administration.

K2- Knowledge of HR management practices, HR data management principles, and business analysis methodologies related to HR systems and technology-enabled solutions.ABILITIES
