Workday FSI Financials Solution Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Workday FSI Financials Solution Architect to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape financial systems solutions for financial services and insurance clients, with a strong focus on architecture, design governance, and end-to-end delivery. You will partner closely with functional, data, delivery, and go-to-market stakeholders to translate sector requirements into practical financial design choices. The position also plays a key role in defining phased roadmaps, supporting customer workshops, and helping drive stable outcomes from discovery through testing and stabilization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and Phase 0 engagements to produce target architecture and a phased roadmap
• Own end-to-end Financials design, with a focus on record to report and multi-entity accounting
• Define integrations between Workday Financials and operational platforms and reporting tools
• Translate financial services and insurance requirements into practical design choices
• Establish design governance across functional and data teams
• Guide delivery from design through testing and stabilization phases
• Support go-to-market teams with discovery and proposal development

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of substantial Workday Financials experience across multiple deployments
• Deep knowledge of Foundation Data Model (FDM) and financial accounting
• Direct finance transformation experience in at least one financial services subsector
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including reconciliations and multi-currency reporting
• Ability to assess integration and reporting dependencies effectively
• Experience leading senior customer workshops and documenting decisions
• Relevant Workday Financials certification, with a commitment to maintain or renew certifications
