Workday Functional Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Workday Functional Consultant to join a complex organisation undergoing a significant Workday transformation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Workday professional to play a key role in assessing the current environment, identifying gaps, supporting critical payroll changes and helping shape the future Workday roadmap.

There are two opportunities available — a permanent senior/lead position and a contract role focused on HCM and Talent Acquisition.

As the Senior Workday Functional Consultant, you will:

• Provide senior Workday functional leadership and mentor internal team members.
• Assess the current Workday environment, identifying gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support the transition from monthly to fortnightly payroll, with a strong focus on payroll functionality.
• Shape the Workday roadmap and future-state strategy.
• Work closely with vendors, HR, Payroll, Technology and senior stakeholders.
• For the contract opportunity, focus on HCM and Talent Acquisition, assessing delivery progress and outstanding requirements.
• Workday Studio, integrations and reporting experience is highly desirable.

What We're Looking For

• Senior Workday Functional Consultant, SME or Functional Lead experience.
• Strong Workday HCM knowledge, with Payroll experience highly desirable.
• Strong Talent Acquisition experience for the contract opportunity.
• Experience working in complex organisations with varied workforce types.
• Ability to assess implementations, identify gaps and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong understanding of Workday modules, integrations and downstream systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions and take ownership.
