Workday Functional Lead - Skills

For our client, we are seeking a Workday Functional Lead - Skills to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will provide functional leadership for a strategic Workday skills program and help guide enterprise execution across multiple workstreams. The position will partner closely with HR, business stakeholders, internal support teams, and external partners to align requirements, configurations, and delivery priorities. The selected professional will also help manage risk, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations while translating business needs into effective Workday solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,400 – $251,600 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the DT workstream for Workday within the skills program, providing direction and escalation management
• Represent the team in enterprise working groups to ensure stakeholder needs are understood
• Manage timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and risk mitigation for the team
• Provide functional leadership and guidance to both internal and external Workday support teams
• Translate business needs into effective Workday configurations and designs
• Oversee functional requirements creation and ensure accuracy in configurations
• Collaborate with various business teams to implement enterprise requirements in Workday

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience
• 7+ years of Workday functional or technical consulting experience, particularly with talent and skills modules
• Expertise in managing Workday configuration, integrations, and design reviews in multi-workstream environments
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders through workshops
• Proven partnership experience with HR and other stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills
