Workday HCM Configurator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Workday HCM Configurator to join our innovative HR technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions that streamline HR processes and enhance organizational efficiency. Your expertise will drive the successful configuration of Workday modules, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and supporting our strategic HR initiatives. Duties

• Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective Workday configurations.
• Develop, test, and deploy custom Workday HCM solutions, including business processes, calculated fields, reports, and integrations.
• Manage system configurations across modules such as Core HCM, Talent Management, Compensation, and Absence Management to optimize functionality.
• Maintain system integrity through regular updates, troubleshooting issues, and performing system tuning for optimal performance.
• Support the integration of Workday with other enterprise systems using RESTful APIs, middleware solutions, and custom scripting.
• Conduct system audits and ensure compliance with security policies by managing user roles, access controls, and data privacy standards.
• Document configuration changes and provide training/support to end-users for ongoing system adoption and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Workday HCM Configurator or similar role with extensive knowledge of Workday modules and architecture.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture, and system design principles.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Scripting, Bash (Unix shell), or JavaScript for automation purposes.
• Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with system administration tasks such as server backup/recovery, storage management, load balancing, and virtualization technologies like VMware or ESXi.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including Active Directory management, firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP services, and network security protocols.
• Skills in DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git version control system, and T-SQL for database scripting.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to software implementation, system performance tuning, and application support across Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs development/consumption, and DevOps practices to support continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to system troubleshooting support in complex IT environments.

Pay: $104,499.19 - $125,848.48 per year
