Workday Integration Developer

EPMA is partnering with an established US engineering and consulting organization seeking a Workday Integration Developer to join its internal IT team.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a Workday integration environment as the organization transitions responsibility from an external implementation partner to its internal team.

Initially, your focus will be on owning, supporting and enhancing business-critical Workday integrations across HR, payroll, finance and other enterprise systems. As the environment matures, the role will expand into broader enterprise integrations, automation and applied AI initiatives.

This is a hands-on technical position for someone who enjoys not only building integrations, but understanding how they work in production, troubleshooting problems and improving them over time.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing and supporting system integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience building and supporting Workday integrations in production.
• Hands-on Workday Studio development experience.
• Working knowledge of the broader Workday integration ecosystem, which may include EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, RaaS and XSLT.
• Experience taking ownership of integrations developed by others and supporting them in a live production environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience diagnosing integration failures across multiple systems.
• Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML and authentication technologies such as OAuth 2.0.
• Working proficiency with XML/XSLT and experience with at least one general-purpose programming language.
• Ability to communicate technical issues, risks and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have:

• Python and/or SQL experience.
• Workday integration certification or formal Workday Studio training.
• Experience integrating payroll, benefits, ERP, identity, ITSM or learning platforms.
• Experience with iPaaS, serverless, workflow or CI/CD technologies.
• Exposure to AI agents, LLM platforms, enterprise copilots or intelligent automation.
• Experience working with sensitive HR, payroll or financial data.
• Experience within an engineering, consulting or professional-services environment.
