Workday Payroll Architect - AMS/Post Production Support

For our client, we are seeking a Workday Payroll Architect - AMS/Post Production Support to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role will guide complex payroll architecture and ongoing support for global Workday environments, with a strong emphasis on US payroll compliance and multi-country operational needs. You will partner closely with client stakeholders across Payroll, HCM, Security, Reporting, and Finance to design scalable solutions that improve accuracy, stability, and service delivery. The position also calls for hands-on mentorship, helping elevate consultants while contributing to process improvement and high-impact work across international engagements.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic Workday Payroll initiatives with full autonomy
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex payroll systems
• Optimize cross-functional interactions between Payroll and other modules like HCM and Finance
• Conduct high-level strategy sessions with client executives on globally scalable solutions
• Mentor and support junior consultants and contribute to service innovation

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Workday experience, ideally leading implementations or complex AMS engagements
• Deep mastery of US payroll statutory requirements and tax rules
• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll in multiple countries including Canada, UK, France, Ireland, or Australia
• Proficient in Workday HCM, Security, Advanced Reporting, and Calculated Fields
• Advanced Excel skills for manipulating large datasets
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail, with an ownership mindset
