Workday Payroll Specialist - US/CANADA

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Workday Payroll Specialist to join our payroll operations team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience managing the end-to-end payroll cycle, along with a solid understanding of employee lifecycle processes.

This role is best suited for someone who can take full ownership of payroll activities, proactively identify issues, communicate concerns, and recommend process improvements rather than simply following established procedures.

Qualifications

• With 10 years of hands-on experience with Workday Payroll is required.

• Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll operations, not limited to payroll processing or data entry.

• Experience handling payroll across the full employee lifecycle.

• Strong understanding of payroll processes, reconciliation, employee changes, and payroll controls.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to raise concerns, explain payroll issues, and recommend solutions.

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of payroll activities.

• Workday certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong candidates with substantial hands-on Workday Payroll experience may be considered even without certification.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is proactive and solution-oriented. The successful candidate should not only execute payroll tasks but also be comfortable identifying issues, communicating them to stakeholders, and suggesting ways to improve payroll processes.

Location

Philippines-based candidates preferred, with candidates from Metro Manila and provincial areas welcome to apply.

Certification is a plus, but strong hands-on Workday Payroll experience matters most.
