Workday Technical Specialist - HR Applications

The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative technology team as a Workday Application Specialist, providing hands-on technical support across Workday and HR applications.

You’ll troubleshoot complex issues, support releases and integrations, improve system performance and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Working closely with technical teams, vendors and business stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in keeping critical HR systems reliable, secure and fit-for-purpose.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide support across Workday and HR applications.
• Manage incidents, changes, releases and system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot integrations, interfaces and data issues.
• Work with vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Support Workday upgrades, testing and lifecycle management.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Ensure systems remain secure, reliable and compliant.
• Maintain key technical documentation and support processes.

Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on Workday experience in large, complex environments.
• Experience across 2+ Workday modules, such as HCM, Payroll, Learning, Talent, Recruitment or Integrations.
• Strong application support, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ITIL, incident, problem and change management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in government, regulated or enterprise environments.
• Agile experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Understanding of security, access controls and data protection.
