Job Title: Workday Payroll Functional Consultant

Workday US and Canada Payroll Consultant plays a vital role in ensuring accurate andbtimely processing of payroll for employees. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Processing:

• Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

• Calculate wages, deductions, withholdings, and other payroll-related transactions accurately.

• Review and verify payroll data for completeness and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies as needed.

• Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, overtime, and deductions, in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of payroll transactions

2. Compliance and Reporting:

• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

• Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including W-2 and 1099 forms, in accordance with regulatory deadlines.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

• Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and resolve payroll-related issues as necessary.

3. System Maintenance and Improvement:

• Utilize payroll software systems effectively to process payroll accurately andefficiently.

• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll system issues, collaborating with IT or software vendors as necessary.

• Assist in the implementation of system upgrades or enhancements to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Workday Payroll configuration is ADVANTAGE

• Payroll domain experience 4 Years to 10+ Years as a Payroll Consultant or Payroll Lead or similar role, with a strong understanding of US or CAN or UK payroll laws, regulations, and practices.

• Workday HCM Certification, Workday US / CAN Payroll Certification

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to other Modules such as Time Tracking, Absence and HCM.
• Workday Reporting Experience.
