Workers' Compensation Adjuster- New Mexico

The Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and managing workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution. This role requires independent decision-making, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop and execute claim plans to ensure timely and appropriate outcomes. The position manages claims throughout their lifecycle while delivering exceptional service to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate claims to determine coverage, liability, and compensability.
• Conduct investigations, interviews, and document reviews to support claim decisions.
• Develop claim resolution strategies and manage claims through closure.
• Prepare timely reports and maintain regulatory, EDI, and CMS compliance.
• Negotiate settlements and oversee litigation activities.
• Handle complex and catastrophic claims while managing vendor relationships.
• Provide responsive client service and maintain licensing requirements.
• Stay current on industry developments and support team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Active New Mexico Adjuster License (required)
• Must reside in New Mexico
• 1-2 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims, including complex files
