Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships & Advocacy: Build and maintain effective relationships with all Lockton clients in order to attract and retain business and demonstrate measured improvement over time. Advocate on behalf of clients in all respects while nurturing and maintaining positive working relationships with insurance carriers and other vendors.
  • Claim Program Management: Consult with clients in the overall management of claim program goals and objectives to positively impact overall results. Ensure all parties involved meet their obligations in a timely and accurate manner. Facilitate the resolution of claims on assigned accounts by acting as liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and other vendors involved in the claim management process.
  • Coverage & Legal Analysis: Demonstrate a clear understanding of coverage and legal issues, and communicate these effectively to influence the outcome of claim matters. Utilize technical skills to ensure appropriate reserves are in place on files meeting the criteria for review.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data to identify claim trends and measure program performance. Write reports that assess programs and make recommendations for the implementation of program improvements.
  • TPA & Carrier Oversight: Review Third Party Administrator and carrier workers' compensation services, contracts, and best practices, aligning them with client workers' compensation claim programs. Conduct TPA/Carrier RFP reviews and comparisons, and advise as marketing and change requirements dictate.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate with Loss Prevention and other departments to provide unified assessments and recommendations to clients. Provide team support for consultants through client audits, Lockton training seminars, and backup coverage as needed.
  • Communication & Presentations: Communicate complex issues concisely and make effective, strategic recommendations to clients with the highest professional acumen. Exhibit a high level of competence in written and verbal communications — timely, concise, and accurate. Utilize public speaking skills to participate effectively in formal presentations to prospective and current clients alongside other Lockton associates.
  • Client Service Excellence: Make positive contributions to client satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service. Provide the highest level of service possible to all customers, internal and external. Fully support Lockton's business strategies, goals, and initiatives set for the Claims Team. Embrace the principle of 'We Live Service' to assist team members, Risk Solutions, or other associates and clients — whether assigned to that client or not.
  • Professional Development & Collaboration: Embrace change and growth by continuously enhancing skill sets and abilities. Contribute by communicating strategies and ideas to team members, listening and evaluating other points of view, and reaching consensus on unresolved issues. Participate in ongoing education that enhances the ability to perform job duties and deliver the highest level of service. Attend team and department meetings, educational workshops, vendor functions, and social functions.
  • Travel & Expense Management: Travel to client, carrier, vendor, or Lockton locations as required, including overnight stays. Timely and accurately account for business expenses in a fiduciary-responsible manner.
  • Confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of all information learned in the performance of job duties.
