Position Overview

We are seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Administrator to support workers’ compensation claims administration for the Thacker Pass project in Humboldt County, Nevada. The role is based at the project’s onsite management and administrative facilities and supports claims administration within a large construction and industrial project environment.

The ideal candidate has approximately 3–7 years of workers’ compensation claims administration experience and is comfortable working in a construction, manufacturing, production, industrial, or similarly fast-paced environment. The role is administrative and claims-coordination focused; the contractor will not be performing mining work.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the administration of workers’ compensation claims associated with the project.

· Coordinate and maintain workers’ compensation claim information and related documentation.

· Work with project, claims, safety, medical, and other stakeholders as necessary to support the claims process.

· Help ensure claims are documented, tracked, and handled appropriately.

· Communicate with employees and stakeholders regarding workers’ compensation matters.

· Maintain organized and accurate claims records.

· Support workers’ compensation processes within a large onsite workforce environment.

· Work effectively within the project’s established claims-administration processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

· Previous workers’ compensation experience is required.

· Approximately 3+ years of workers’ compensation claims-administration experience is preferred.

· Ability to manage claims information and documentation in an organized and professional manner.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Comfortable working independently in an onsite project environment.

· Able and willing to work a rotational schedule in Humboldt County, Nevada.

Preferred / Additional Relevant Background

· Experience supporting construction, manufacturing, production, or industrial organizations is highly desirable, but not required.

· Candidates with broader workers’ compensation experience outside construction or manufacturing may also be considered.

· Medical claims, medical billing, risk management, safety/EHS, or medical-professional backgrounds may be considered when the candidate has meaningful, direct workers’ compensation claims experience.

· Candidates do not need to have managed every aspect of a workers’ compensation program independently; the focus is on relevant claims administration or processing, organization, communication, and willingness to take the assignment.

Work Schedule and Rotation

The position is fully onsite and works six days per week while onsite. Candidates may select one of the following general rotations:

· Option 1: 3 weeks onsite / 1 week off.

· Option 2: 6 weeks onsite / 2 weeks off.

Scheduled off-rotation time is unpaid. During off weeks, contractors must leave the project housing facility and return home or make other arrangements.

Onsite Housing, Meals and Amenities

· Housing is provided while the contractor is working onsite.

· Management-level accommodations similar to a private hotel room, with private sleeping accommodations and a private bathroom.

· Amenities include internet access, television, a mini refrigerator, cafeteria and prepared meals, food/drinks/snacks, laundry service, and a fitness/workout facility.

· The housing facility is in a remote location.

· Shuttle/bus transportation is provided between the housing facility and the project worksite.

· Contractors may bring and keep a personal vehicle at the housing facility.

· Spouses, partners, family members, friends, and other overnight guests are not permitted to stay in the provided housing.

· Housing is available during working rotations only; contractors must leave during off-rotation weeks.

Travel and Location Requirements

· Candidates must arrange and pay for travel to and from the project / housing location for each rotation.

· Nevada and surrounding western states are preferred for practical travel reasons, but candidates from elsewhere may be considered if they can reliably travel to and from the assignment at their own expense.

· Do not assume or promise airfare, rental-car costs, relocation payments, or travel reimbursement.

Employment Type

This is a W-2 contract opportunity; C2C and 1099 arrangements are not available. The expected assignment duration is approximately one year, subject to final terms.

Interview Process

Interviews are expected to be conducted remotely through Microsoft Teams

Ideal Candidate

A strong candidate has genuine workers’ compensation claims experience, can manage claim information and documentation in an organized and professional manner, communicates well with employees and stakeholders, and is willing and able to commit to the onsite rotational assignment. Construction, manufacturing, mining, or industrial experience is a plus, not a strict requirement.
