What they need
At Mid Valley Diesel and Automotive, we're looking for a Workflow Manager who can help keep repair jobs organized, technicians informed, and customers' vehicles moving through the service process without unnecessary delays.
This position is about seeing the whole picture. You'll help coordinate work from the time a vehicle arrives until the repair is completed and ready for pickup.
How you'll spend your time
You'll work closely with technicians, service staff, and management to make sure priorities are clear and jobs are progressing as expected.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Organize and monitor daily repair-shop workflow.
- Coordinate repair assignments based on technician availability, skills, and job priorities.
- Track vehicle progress from initial inspection through completed repairs.
- Work with service staff to identify upcoming jobs and scheduling needs.
- Help prevent delays caused by missing parts, equipment, or information.
- Adjust workflow when urgent repairs or unexpected issues arise.
- Communicate job status and expected completion times to the appropriate team members.
- Monitor repair turnaround times and identify recurring bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with parts and purchasing personnel to support repair schedules.
- Help balance workload across diesel, automotive, and fleet-service jobs.
- Maintain accurate job status information in shop management systems.
- Recommend practical improvements to scheduling, communication, and repair efficiency.
The experience we're looking for
We're interested in candidates with 3+ years of experience in automotive service, diesel repair operations, production scheduling, fleet maintenance, shop coordination, or a related field.
Previous experience managing workflow, coordinating technicians, or supervising daily operations is strongly preferred.
You don't need to be a master diesel technician, but you should understand how repair shops operate and how parts availability, technician schedules, and job complexity affect turnaround times.
Experience with shop management software, scheduling systems, and spreadsheets is helpful.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Technical training or additional education in automotive technology, operations, or business is preferred but not required.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
