What they need

Workforce Coordinator
Make every shift count. Make every day matter.

At DANS In Home Care, we're not just filling shifts. We're making sure older Australians and people living with disability receive the care and support they need, exactly when they need it.

Behind every successful service is a well-planned roster.

Behind every well-planned roster is someone who can think ahead, solve problems, build relationships, and stay calm when plans change.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Workforce Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys the challenge of workforce scheduling, and takes pride in finding solutions that ensure our clients continue receiving the support they deserve.

If you're someone who loves bringing order to moving parts, finding the right person for the right shift, and celebrating the wins that come from a well-covered roster, we'd love to hear from you.

What Does Success Look Like?
Success in this role isn't measured by how many emails you send or phone calls you make.

It's knowing every client has the support they need because you've ensured the right people are in the right place at the right time.

It's finding a solution to a last-minute roster gap before it becomes a problem.

It's working closely with care staff to create rosters that balance client needs, staff availability and service requirements.

It's hearing a cheer across the office when a particularly tricky shift is finally filled.

Every day brings new challenges, but every day you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing
Workforce Rostering & Coordination (Primary Focus)

  • Developing and maintaining staff rosters across multiple service areas
  • Managing shift allocations, roster changes and staff availability
  • Filling vacant shifts and responding to short-notice changes
  • Liaising regularly with support workers regarding schedules and availability
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet client requirements
  • Supporting workforce planning and service delivery across the organisation
  • Monitoring roster compliance with the SCHADS Award and organisational requirements
  • Working proactively to reduce gaps and improve workforce utilisation
  • Building strong relationships with frontline staff to ensure effective workforce coordination

Recruitment & Workforce Support

  • Assisting with recruitment activities as required
  • Coordinating interviews and candidate communications
  • Supporting onboarding and induction processes
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and workforce documentation

What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys workforce scheduling and solving roster challenges
  • Can think quickly and adapt when priorities change
  • Builds strong relationships with staff and stakeholders
  • Is highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Communicates confidently and professionally
  • Thrives in a busy environment with competing priorities
  • Enjoys finding solutions and achieving outcomes
  • Remains calm under pressure
  • Takes ownership and follows problems through to resolution
  • Genuinely cares about supporting both clients and staff

Experience We'd Love to See
Highly Regarded

  • Previous experience in workforce rostering, scheduling or coordination
  • Strong understanding of the SCHADS Award and workforce compliance requirements
  • Experience using rostering or workforce management systems
  • Experience managing high-volume staffing requirements
  • Experience within aged care, disability services, community services or healthcare
  • Recruitment or workforce administration experience

The Impact You'll Have
Every roster tells a story.

Behind every shift is a client receiving care, a care worker making a difference, and a team working together to improve lives within our community.

As our Workforce Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring services continue to run smoothly day after day.

You'll leave many days with something that can't be measured on a report: The satisfaction of knowing you solved a challenge, supported your team, and helped ensure quality care was delivered where it was needed most.

Other offers great for you!
