What they need

For over 70 years Bethanie has been warmly welcoming older West Australians into a caring and personal environment.  We’re a leading, trusted not-for-profit organisation, and we’re proudly local to Western Australia, welcoming people in our aged care homes, retirement villages, community housing and more.

We are currently seeking internal applications for the new position of Workforce Operations Officer in our Integrated Planning team.

This role is offered on a full-time basis, working 38 hours per week. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week required on-site (a Bethanie site or the support services office).

The successful candidate must be available to work a rotating roster pattern, which includes a variety of start times to support workforce operations across seven days. Shifts may be scheduled between 5:00am and 11:06pm.

We currently have:

  • 2 positions available on a Monday to Friday roster
  • 1 position available on a Friday to Tuesday roster

Monday to Friday roster (rotating)

  • 5:00am - 1:06pm
  • 7:00am - 3:06pm
  • 11:00am - 7:06pm
  • 3:00pm - 11:06pm

Friday to Tuesday roster (rotating)

  • 6:00am - 2:06pm
  • 10:00am - 6:06pm

Rostered work patterns vary and are rotated across the Workforce Operations team to ensure coverage of operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate short-notice staffing vacancies and live roster changes in Dayforce across residential aged care services.
  • Reconcile timesheet variances and maintain accurate records to support payroll and compliance.
  • Liaise with employees, managers and service teams to minimise staffing risks and maintain safe care delivery.
  • Escalate workforce shortages and operational risks promptly to support business continuity.

About You

  • Previous experience in rostering, workforce scheduling or customer service is essential.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • High attention to detail and confidence using workforce management, rostering, payroll and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

At Bethanie, we recognise that our people are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we offer a range of benefits designed to support your financial wellbeing, career development, health, and work-life balance, including:

  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900, plus $2,650 for meals and entertainment.
  • Employee discounts across leading retailers, travel providers, and lifestyle services.
  • Corporate discounts on private health insurance.
  • Discounted Anytime Fitness memberships.
  • Paid parental leave and purchased leave options.
  • Flexible and hybrid work arrangements (where applicable).
  • Ongoing professional development, study support, and career progression opportunities.
  • Structured onboarding, mentoring, and clinical support programs.
  • Free annual flu vaccinations and access to our Bethanie Be Well Program (EAP).
  • Employee recognition initiatives, team events, and annual awards programs.
  • Employee referral program.
  • A supportive, values-driven culture where people are respected, connected, and empowered to thrive.

If you're passionate about caring for older Australians and want to be part of a team that genuinely values its people, we'd love to hear from you.
