Larchmont Construction is a Bath based main contractor specialising in high quality residential construction, refurbishment and heritage work. We’re looking for an experienced Working Foreman who takes pride in their trade and can lead a team by example.
This is a hands-on role combining practical work on the tools with day to day supervision and running of the site. You’ll work closely with site management to organise trades, maintain high standards and keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working on the tools and setting the standard for workmanship.
- Organising daily tasks for tradespeople and labourers.
- Coordinating subcontractors and helping work move smoothly between trades.
- Reading drawings, checking details and raising RFI's before work proceeds.
- Planning ahead for materials, deliveries, equipment and labour requirements.
- Checking quality throughout the work and making sure defects are resolved promptly.
- Maintaining a safe, tidy and well-organised site.
- Keeping management informed of progress, problems and upcoming requirements.
- Working to and reviewing the programme weekly.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A strong construction trade background and experience as a Working Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Experience delivering high quality refurbishment or residential work.
- The practical knowledge to organise work effectively and solve day to day site problems.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished result.
- A clear, professional approach to communicating with colleagues, subcontractors and clients.
- The confidence to lead a team while remaining actively involved in the work.
Experience with traditional buildings, SSSTS or SMSTS and first aid training are essential.
We value craftsmanship, reliability and clear communication. This role will suit someone looking to progress and who enjoys taking responsibility whilst working as part of a team.
To apply, send your CV through Indeed with a brief summary of your trade background, supervisory experience and availability.
