Working Foreman

Haffey Sports Grounds, based on the outskirts of Portadown is a leading contractor specialising in civil engineering, playgrounds and sports grounds projects.

We are currently seeking a working foreman to join our growing team.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of various projects and site operatives.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Supervise and direct construction activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and project specifications.
• Provide guidance and support to construction crews, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Monitor project progress, report any issues or delays and suggest solutions to overcome challenges.
• Manage resources effectively, including equipment, materials and manpower, to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
• Communication effectively with team members and clients to address concerns and maintain project alignment.
• Coordinate the delivery and pickup of materials as needed for project operations.

Essential Criteria:

• Civil Engineering or Sports Grounds working Foreman experience
• Valid Driving Licence
• Valid CSR Card or CSCS card or other relevant qualification.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate construction crews.
• Excellent communication skills
• Have a willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.

Desirable Criteria:

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or a related field.
• Heavy machinery tickets.
