Working Production Line Lead — Second Shift

About the Job

Lead a small production crew while working alongside them to manufacture American-made TREDS rubber boots.

We are a small manufacturer of safety and work-specific over-the-shoe footwear. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on line lead to coordinate approximately three production employees on second shift.

This is a working-lead position—not a desk-based management job. You’ll operate equipment, help with production, and keep the crew organized, productive, and focused on safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

• Work alongside the crew operating the production line.

• Coordinate daily assignments and help maintain a steady workflow.

• Train coworkers on production tasks, quality standards, and safe work practices.

• Operate production machinery and a hoist.

• Handle materials and assist wherever the line needs support.

• Monitor product quality and address routine production problems.

• Perform light maintenance and equipment upkeep.

• Communicate production progress, equipment issues, and staffing concerns to management.

• Coordinate shift handoff and end-of-shift cleanup and shutdown.

What We’re Looking For

• Manufacturing or production experience; two or more years preferred.

• Previous line-lead, team-lead, or employee-training experience preferred.

• Ability to give clear instructions and work respectfully with coworkers.

• Mechanical aptitude and sound judgment when troubleshooting routine problems.

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.

• A reliable work history; candidates with job tenures of two or more years are preferred.

• Willingness to take responsibility while remaining hands-on.

Pay and Perks

• $28.00–$30.00 per hour, including second-shift premium.

• Weekly pay.

• Monday–Friday schedule; no scheduled weekends.

• Paid holidays.
