What they need

Team & Reporting Line: Our Mission At constellr, we use thermal intelligence from space to understand what is happening on Earth - where, when and at scale. Our satellite constellation delivers high-resolution land surface temperature data, giving governments, defence organisations, commercial operators and global institutions the intelligence they need to monitor change, assess risk and make better-informed decisions.

From national security and critical infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience, constellr turns temperature into actionable intelligence for a changing world.

Your Role Curious how a fast-growing space tech company finds and hires its people – and want to help shape it? As our Working Student in Talent, you'll join our Talent team in Munich and work with our recruiters, hiring managers and candidates to make every hiring process smooth, fast and genuinely human.

You'll get hands-on experience across the full recruitment lifecycle, own real tasks from day one, and see your ideas go live in our employer branding. Every hire you help bring on board across satellite tech, Commercial, and operations as we scale up!– directly moves our mission forward.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate interview scheduling in our ATS (Greenhouse), keeping candidates and hiring managers aligned on availability and interview details
  • Be a friendly first point of contact for candidates, making sure everyone receives timely updates – whether they're moving forward or not – in line with our response timelines
  • Keep candidate pipelines accurate and up to date so our hiring teams always have a clear picture
  • Support the backend of Greenhouse and help us improve our data reporting and automation
  • Maintain and refresh our Talent page on the company intranet
  • Contribute to Talent projects across employer branding, our employer value proposition (EVP), candidate attraction and talent mapping

Job requirements

About you Required:

  • You're currently enrolled at a university or Hochschule in Germany and available for up to 20 hours per week during the semester
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills – you like things running smoothly
  • Clear, friendly communication skills and a genuine care for candidate experience
  • Confidence working with stakeholders and keeping busy hiring managers engaged so processes move quickly
  • Creativity and curiosity – you enjoy bringing fresh ideas to employer branding and our EVP
  • Comfort in a fast-paced scale-up: you keep priorities clear and adapt when things change
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Able to work from our Munich office 2 days a week.

Nice to Have :

  • First experience in recruitment, HR or a people-facing role – an internship, part-time job or student society role all count
  • Studies in HR, psychology, business, communications or a related field
  • German language skills
  • Familiarity with an ATS such as Greenhouse, or an interest in HR tech and automation

What We Offer Why join constellr?

  • High-Impact National Security Mission: Be part of an ambitious mission to launch the world's first commercial thermal infrared constellation, delivering sovereign-grade "behavioural" intelligence from space to close critical blind spots for defence, intelligence, and maritime surveillance agencies.
  • Fast-Paced "New Space" Innovation: Work at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving defence sector. By leveraging modern, agile New Space methodologies, you will help design, build, and deploy dual-use thermal payloads into operational orbit at a speed and scale that traditional aerospace models simply cannot match.
  • Broad Interdisciplinary Exposure: Accelerate your professional growth by collaborating daily with a diverse, international cohort of astrophysicists, software developers, and defence-system engineers.
  • Inclusive & Scientific Culture: Join a high-trust team deeply committed to diversity, inclusion, and scientific excellence, where academic curiosity is paired with high autonomy and a flat hierarchy.
  • Financial Upside & Well-being: Benefit from a Virtual Share Option Plan (VSOP) for permanent employees, giving you a true stake in the company's growth, alongside highly flexible hybrid working models.
