Workplace Engineer, HK IT

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd‑line technical support for workplace technologies including Windows/Mac endpoints, mobile devices, collaboration tools (M365), and workplace applications

• Troubleshoot escalated incidents from the Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality technical analysis

• Support Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Intune device management

• Manage endpoint configuration and compliance using endpoint management tools, Azure AD, and Group Policy

• Participate in workplace technology projects, including system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and hardware/software refresh cycles

• Document technical procedures, knowledge articles, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations to support Service Desk efficiency

• Collaborate with third‑party vendors for escalations, warranty repairs, and service improvements

• Ensure security compliance, applying patches, updates, hardening standards, and endpoint protection policies

  Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related fields (preferred but not mandatory with equivalent experience)

• Proven experience in 2nd‑line IT support or Workplace / End‑User Computing engineering roles

• Strong expertise with Windows 10/11, basic macOS administration, and common workplace hardware

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and OneDrive

• Good working knowledge for device enrollment, compliance, and application deployment

• Understanding Azure Active Directory, user/group management, and conditional access fundamentals

• Familiarity with PowerShell for automation and troubleshooting is a strong advantage

• Experience with asset management tools, or similar endpoint management platforms is a plus

• Familiarity with troubleshooting on logistics hardware such as printers, handhelds, and scanners is an advantage

• Knowledge of network basics, including VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting

• Awareness of IT security practices, endpoint protection, and patch management

• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

• Excellent customer service mindset and ability to communicate with non-technical users

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle escalations under pressure

• Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in improving processes

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
