What they need

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is passionate about education, facilitation and social impact. Working both from Melbourne Holocaust Museum (MHM) and at workplaces across Australia, you will deliver impactful learning experiences that amplify the voices of Holocaust survivors, foster empathy and understanding, and encourage participants to challenge antisemitism, racism and prejudice.

The Workplace Programs Facilitator delivers MHM's workplace learning programs to organisations across Australia, helping participants challenge assumptions, deepen understanding and engage in meaningful conversations across difference.

A key focus of the role is delivering The Space Between, MHM's immersive workplace learning program that uses contemporary Jewish lived experiences to build empathy, foster inclusion and create opportunities for respectful dialogue. The role also supports the delivery of other learning programs as required.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine education, facilitation and social impact while engaging with diverse organisations and audiences across Australia. Regular travel, including interstate and overnight travel, is an inherent requirement of this role.

About You

You are a confident and engaging facilitator who is comfortable leading discussions on complex and sensitive topics and creating a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment for diverse audiences.

You will bring:

  • Experience delivering education, training, facilitation or adult learning programs.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to build rapport, facilitate thoughtful discussion and adapt to different audiences and learning needs.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in education, adult learning, training, facilitation or a related field.
  • A willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Australia, including interstate and overnight travel as required.

Most importantly, you will align with MHM's values and be motivated by our vision of creating a world free from hate, discrimination and antisemitism.

About Us

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum (MHM) is Australia’s largest institution solely dedicated to Holocaust education, research, and remembrance, fostering the values of respect and acceptance of difference.

Established by Holocaust survivors in 1984, the MHM is an award-winning museum and research centre, showcasing two permanent exhibitions and a diverse rotation of special exhibitions. Annually our education programs are attended by over 25,000 students, we hold over 100 events, and welcome thousands of local and international visitors.

The MHM Collection holds more than 1,300 survivor testimonies and 12,000 historical artefacts from both the pre-war and Holocaust eras and holds two permanent exhibitions.
