About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable managing a busy workload with competing priorities. This position involves a significant level of financial and purchasing administration, so previous experience in finance, accounts, purchasing or similar administrative functions will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate:

  • 3–5 years experience in an administration role, preferably within a Local Government, works, construction, civil, mining, maintenance or similar operational environment, or experience that is readily transferable to the position;
  • Demonstrated experience in financial administration, purchasing, accounts payable and/or procurement processes;
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records;
  • Sound computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • The ability to communicate effectively with operational staff, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders;
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • A practical, adaptable approach and willingness to assist across a broad range of administrative functions; and
  • A current C Class Driver's Licence.

Previous local government experience and experience using SynergySoft are desirable but not essential.
