What they need
Join a team shaping the future of energy in Aotearoa | Works Planner / Scheduler
Channel Infrastructure is committed to becoming world class, and we are looking for people who are motivated to help us get there. Our team has a deep connection to the terminal, our people, the community and the environment. We value purpose-driven people who connect with our culture and values, and who want to contribute to resilient infrastructure solutions for Aotearoa’s changing fuel and energy needs.
About the Role
Turn maintenance plans into safe, execution-ready work. As our Works Planner / Scheduler, you’ll translate approved maintenance demand into detailed job plans, coordinating labour, materials, contractors and access windows so work is ready when it reaches execution.
You’re skilled at bringing structure and clarity to complex work. You’ll prepare weekly and forward maintenance schedules, maintain accurate planning data in MEX or the relevant CMMS, and track schedule compliance and backlog trends. You’ll also connect maintenance, operations, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to keep work aligned and moving.
Over time, you’ll also help administer Channel’s Integrated Works Plan, aligning maintenance, project and facilities work with operational priorities and site constraints.
About You
You’ll bring practical experience in planning, scheduling, work order administration or technical coordination within an operational, industrial, infrastructure, facilities or asset-intensive environment. You’ll be able to turn complex work into clear plans, respond promptly to changing priorities to keep work moving and on track, and work effectively with CMMS and Microsoft Office tools. You’ll be known for your attention to detail, collaborative communication, strong safety focus and reliable follow-through. Experience with MEX or Microsoft Project would be useful, but is not essential.
Why join Channel?
· Be part of nationally significant infrastructure that helps keep Aotearoa New Zealand moving.
· Work close to the asset, the decisions and the projects shaping Channel’s future.
· Join a values-led team where One Team, Innovation, Honesty and Care guide how we work.
· Access enhanced KiwiSaver, life and income protection insurance, wellbeing support, flexible working and one weeks additional leave.
If your experience doesn’t match every requirement but you believe you could contribute to the role, we encourage you to apply.
