What they need

Manufacturing Technician

Light mechanical assembly and testing | Boronia

Are you a Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Assembler or Trades Assistant looking for a cleaner, lighter and less physically demanding role?

NET Automation is an established Australian-owned industrial automation company and the distributor for Camozzi Automation. We are seeking a practical, detail-focused Manufacturing Technician to join our Knoxfield team.

The role

You will assemble and test pneumatic control boxes and components in a clean, organised workshop environment.

Key duties include:

  • Assembling systems from technical drawings and procedures
  • Fitting pneumatic components, tubing and hardware
  • Testing, troubleshooting and repairing assemblies
  • Inspecting components and recording test results
  • Reading drawings and recommending practical improvements
  • Assisting with light warehouse and stock-handling duties
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work area

This is a varied technical role, not heavy fabrication or repetitive production-line work.

About you

You will ideally have experience as a Fitter and Turner, Trades Assistant, Mechanical Assembler, Maintenance Fitter or Workshop Technician.

You will also have:

  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience using hand tools
  • The ability to read technical drawings and instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • The ability to work independently and within a small team
  • Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn

Experience with pneumatics, mechanical assembly, testing, CAD or clean-room work is desirable but not essential. Product training will be provided.

What we offer

  • Clean, organised workshop conditions
  • Lighter mechanical assembly work
  • Varied and interesting technical projects
  • Training in pneumatics and industrial automation
  • Stable employment with an established Australian business
  • Remuneration based on award rates, skills and experience

If you want to continue using your mechanical and trade skills without the strain of heavy workshop work, we would like to hear from you.

Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.

Remuneration will be based on award rates and negotiations with the successful applicant.

Please email your resume to [email protected]

If you wish to speak to someone, please call [1300 264 710](tel:1300 264 710) and press 3 for Accounts

Should you not hear back from us within 7 working days of applying, please consider the application as unsuccessful.
