Workshop & Warehouse Assistant

About the role

This is a varied role as a Workshop & Warehouse Assistant at UK Caravans. You'll primarily assist in the workshop but will also help out in the warehouse, shop and other areas of the business when required. No two days will necessarily be the same. You don't need to be a qualified trades person — we're looking for someone who is practical, hands-on and eager to learn, able to follow instructions, pick up new skills quickly, show initiative and confidently work through tasks independently once trained.

Key responsibilities

• Completing caravan checklists and basic inspections
• Resealing caravans, including roof vents, hatches, windows and other fittings
• Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance
• Assisting the workshop team with day-to-day jobs
• Helping with stock, deliveries and general warehouse duties
• Assisting in the retail shop when required
• Keeping the workshop, warehouse and yard tidy and organised
• Helping with general tasks across the business as required

About you

• Practical and confident working with your hands
• Shows initiative and is willing to learn
• Can use basic hand and power tools
• Can follow instructions and pick up new tasks quickly
• Comfortable working independently once trained
• Happy to jump between different jobs and help wherever needed
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Reliable and takes pride in your work
• Previous experience in a workshop, building, automotive, caravan, maintenance or warehouse environment would be an advantage, but isn't essential. For us, the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important as previous experience.
