Workshop Cleaner

Britestart Facilities are looking for a part time cleaner to be based at Sytner BMW in Battlefield, Shrewsbury.

The hours for this are:

17.5 hours per week

Monday - Friday

3.5 hours a day

2pm - 5:30pm

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of workshop floors, workbenches, tools, and machinery to uphold safety standards
• Dispose of waste materials responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
• Maintain cleanliness of storage areas, including shelves and tool cabinets
• Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure effective sanitation without damaging surfaces or equipment
• Assist with organizing supplies and materials to promote an efficient workspace
• Follow health and safety guidelines during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns identified during cleaning duties

Requirements

• Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably within workshop or industrial environments
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and safety compliance
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and proper handling procedures
• Reliable with good time management skills to complete daily cleaning routines promptly
• A proactive attitude with the willingness to follow instructions carefully
