Workshop Controller

Duties

• Organize and prioritize workshop tasks to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines
• Allocate work to technicians based on skill levels, workload, and job requirements
• Monitor progress of repairs and maintenance activities, providing guidance as needed
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality benchmarks
• Maintain accurate records of job progress, parts used, and service documentation
• Conduct inspections using hand tools and power tools to verify repairs meet quality standards
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status, estimated completion times, and additional work needed

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle or equipment repair
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for diagnostics and repairs
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective communication skills to liaise with technicians, customers, and management
• Previous experience in a workshop or service environment is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Relevant certifications or training in automotive or mechanical fields are advantageous
