Workshop Fabrication Foreman

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Workshop Fabrication Foreman to lead our fabrication team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, coordinate fabrication activities, and ensure that all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your leadership will drive efficiency, foster teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication activities within the workshop, ensuring timely completion of projects
• Lead by example in welding tasks, utilizing skills such as MIG welding to produce high-quality work
• Assign tasks to team members based on skill levels and project requirements, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment
• Inspect completed work for quality control, verifying measurements, weld integrity, and overall craftsmanship
• Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and safety inspections
• Collaborate with project managers to understand specifications and deliverables

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabrication environments with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on welding skills
• Expertise in MIG welding and general fabrication techniques
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes required for metalwork projects
• Solid understanding of fabrication principles including mechanical assembly
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, basic math for measurements, and project specifications
• Leadership experience or previous supervisory roles in a workshop setting preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate a team and ensure safety compliance
