What they need

We’re looking for a skilled Workshop Fabricator with a strong engineering and fabrication background to join a leading irrigation company known for supporting its people, looking after its staff and creating a great team environment.

This is a hands-on workshop role for someone who enjoys fabrication, welding and seeing a job through from start to finish. You’ll be working from engineering drawings to manufacture, repair and assemble a range of engineering components and irrigation equipment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reading engineering and fabrication drawings and working accurately to specifications
  • Welding and fabricating using MIG, TIG and ARC as required
  • Cutting, drilling, grinding, pressing and general workshop fabrication across steel, aluminium, RHS, pipe, angle and plate
  • Operating general workshop machinery including bandsaws, drill presses, grinders, welders and lathes
  • Checking your own work and taking pride in getting it right the first time
  • Working as part of a team while also being confident working independently

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong welding and fabrication skills with good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and working accurately from plans
  • A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Someone who is self-motivated, reliable and sees what needs doing
  • A good approach to health and safety and keeping a clean, organised workshop

A trade qualification in Engineering or Fabrication would be an advantage, along with relevant workshop experience.

Why this opportunity?

You’ll be joining an established and well-regarded irrigation business that genuinely values its people. The company has a strong reputation for supporting and looking after its staff, with a positive team environment and opportunities to build your skills and experience within the irrigation and engineering industry.

If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in your welding and fabrication and want to be part of a team where your contribution is valued, this could be a great next step.
