Workshop Hand

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on person to join our team. This role involves repairing and restoring a wide range of items, with a strong focus on timber furniture as well as additional workshop-based tasks. You will work across multiple materials and processes, contributing to high-quality repair and finishing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and restore timber furniture, including chairs, tables, and other wooden items
• Assess damage and determine appropriate repair methods
• Sand, fill, glue, and refinish timber surfaces as required
• Replace or repair damaged components such as legs, joints, and frames
• Perform basic metal work, including cutting, shaping, and minor fabrication
• Carry out basic welding tasks (training can be provided if required)
• Repair ceramic items using appropriate adhesives and restoration techniques
• Operate laser engraving equipment for marking and customisation work
• Assist with picture framing, including cutting, assembling, and finishing frames
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
• Assist with general workshop duties as required

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in furniture repair, woodworking, or general workshop work (preferred but not essential)
• Basic knowledge of timber, metal, and/or ceramic repair techniques
• Familiarity with hand and power tools; welding or CNC/laser equipment experience is an advantage
• Good attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to work independently
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Pay: $32.00 per hour
