Workshop Labourer

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent Workshop Labourer to join our team in Cramlington. This role is pivotal in supporting the maintenance and preparation of our extensive fleet of construction machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist workshop technicians in maintaining, repairing, and servicing plant machinery.
• Drive construction plant machinery to move equipment within the workshop and yard.
• Load and unload machinery and materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Pick up parts and supplies from local vendors as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, including cleaning work areas and washing overalls.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support colleagues in a collaborative workshop environment.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a workshop or similar role within the construction or plant hire industry is advantageous.
• Able to drive construction plant machinery (desirable not essential)
• Ability to work effectively within a team, with a proactive and flexible approach.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in plant maintenance and repair.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Valid driving licence required.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (with occasional overtime as required).
